Founded by dynamic sixth form students in 1881, the Sixers Club was the most outstanding social club in the history of St. Edward's. Founding members were then senior prefect Frederick Sesay, and orhers including Avril Wilson, Aziza Lyoubi, Richard Kamara-During, Aminata Sesay, Esther Wilson, Aki Daniya, Enid Rogers and a long list of other prominent students.
That same year, Sixers Club staged a huge disco in the school hall and gate and returns worth thousands of leones were donated as charity to the school.
